Getting to School

Travelling to School

St Lawrence is a village school and many of our children walk, cycle or scoot to school. If your child brings a bicycle or scooter, these must be left by the arch door entrance and not the main entrance to school.

The proprietors of our local pub – The Plough – have kindly given permission for parents bringing their children by car to use their car park for morning drop off and afternoon pick up. We ask you to show your appreciation by using these facilities considerately (parking sensibly, being quiet, not littering etc). Please do not use the pub car park during the day or for evening events. If you visit school during school hours and have difficulty parking in the roads locally, please use the KGV car park and walk down to school.

School Entry and pick up

All children enter school via the gate into the playground on the Effingham Common Road. Parents also collect their children using this entrance.
